It went like this: I try to login after the installation, where kdm now
crashes to the terminal. from the terminal i login and start kde. I
configure evolution, sync with my visor...log out. I shut the machine
down, because it says that kde is severely misconfigurated and the
logout process does not work from kde (only terminal with exit
obviously). after restarting (hoping that kdm does not crash again) I
login as root and start configuring with the mandrake controlcenter,
then kde control and so forth. after re-checking kdm, Mandake Firsttime
comes to life...
