NO ERROR MESSAGES !! ;-) Strange. Planel, does it help? Maybe the no such file or directory comes from a missing /dev file, no? We could strace kmod, ehm, ehm. Well anyway, I've relooked at the problem and found a workaround: loading sd_mod after the actual scsi host adapter fixes kmod suckiness. Will be in mkinitrd 31mdk. > So a few questions: > > in the error message: > 'kmod: failed to exec /sbin/modprobe -s -k scsi_hostadapter, errno=2' > > What is 'errno=2'? No such file or directory (see /usr/include/asm/errno.h). Which is pretty strange. -- Guillaume Cottenceau - http://people.mandrakesoft.com/~gc/
