I believe I posted an answer to this same question yesterday? The man is right..scroll first always does the trick for me as well. I always set mine up as generic PS/2 wheel mouse as well (even though it was a Genius Netscroll) for good measure. I have NEVER had a bit of trouble out of it doing it this wasy. Keep mouse still during test until you have clicked middle button and scrolled up and down a few times. You must do these things until the red lights are coming on in the right places at the right times then it is fine.
