I saw this post on the Cooker list, and thought I might se if you can
help me. I've just installed RC3 also, and am having trouble with my
modem. I connect to the internet usually via lan connected to an adsl
"router". However, I also have serial modem that I use to dialup to
work. I did a recommended install, and set up the modem and lan as per
usual, and it asked my preferred method of connecting to the internet,
which I said was lan - all seemed fine. But after boot, no modem. All
the symlinks look fine. /dev/modem points to /dev/tts/0. I've set up
another profile in mcc under network configuration for the modem.
However, when firing up kppp, I get to initiallizing modem, and it
shows AZT in the log file, but just sits there. I'm not sure how to go
about trouble-shooting this, and your post referred to manual
intervention. Are you able to steer me in the right direction on this?
Thanks
