In the pre-configured cases, the RPMS could be installed using --nodeps if that is not already done and fixing the dependency info in the DB for the hardware configuration- dependent packages. In the hand-picking mode and/or Expert case, however, dependency checking is still needed. Another contributing factor is the ever increasing size of type-characteric packages (i.e. development, productivity, desktop, ...).
