I'm unable to reproduce this exactly, but it It works 'fine' on a box without 
3D acceleration, and segfault immediatly on  a box with dri enabled (radeon).

Taura, any idea ?

My best guess would be yiff, which has not been rebuild since last year, so 
with a gcc 2.96. However, i'm unable to rebuild it currently with gcc 3.2 :-(
