Why? And why only for the printer share and not the other 200 useful samba options <insert question as to why there isn't a unified config API>. Have you done: # smbpasswd -a <username> where <username> is an existing unix user account on the samba box, that with win9x or winme as a client matches the name you are logged into windows as? Funny, since default config is supposed to allow guest printing (except to the PDF generator), but we might need to use something like 'map to guest = bad user' to get *this* (guest access) working out the box. Of course, this now starts to become a support question rather than a feature request (unless people want 'map to guest = bad user' by default).
