After a few rpm operations, rpm started gaving db errors.
Did an rpm --rebuilddb and now the database is horribly broken: many installed packages now aren't in the database, with the related problems that this gives.
Tough luck :-( The system suddenly did not know about some packages installed, like kernel and glibc - other were present.
I wonder when RPM/Red Hat switches from this slow DBM backend. (Firebird anyone ?:-) Any operation (like rpm -qi) takes a *long* time on my Mandrake box. From a database point of view, this is just horrible.
