Go for example to download ripperX from the SourceForge and select to 
download .rpm-file.

At least for me, this site fill automatic downloading RPM-files directly. 
(without need to select "save as"...) 
And actually my machine is not crashing, it will just eat all resources 
and and it takes minutes to get console to front in order to shut down 
Mozilla with "kill -9".

What's the exact URL that you are seeing it crash your machine?  I have
yet to replicate this crash.  I can get Mozilla to bring up the page
trying to interpret it internally... but I have never seen it crash the
machine.
