Interesting ... I use Lucida Sans in my spreadsheets, but could not see any 
data; on a whim I tried changing the View -> Zoom value. It had been at 92% 
and I changed it to 100% - voila! My data appeared. 

O happy day! Now I can resume tracking my weight, medications, the outdoor 
temperatures and my bicycle riding logs. I was using those archaic scribe's 
instruments, pencil and paper, for nearly 12 hours (gasp). It may as well 
have been cuneiform in clay tablets! No automatic calculations or averaging, 
no instant graphing ... the horror, the horror ...
