Should this not be kept? Is it not (sfxload) required to load sound
fonts onto SBLive!-type cards to get midi working. Since midi is one of
the biggest motivations to use Alsa on SBLive! cards, removing this
would be counter-productive?

Apparently cineralla is GPL, and it's already packaged in PLF. Or were
you meaning something else? (kino, linuxvideostudio, both GPL, kino in
contrib) It would be nice to have some video-editing capability in main ...

But yes, bcast should probably go in favour of something else.
