Screenshots look cool, nice to see the Normal/Maximal information. However, I don't know if a better word could be used now that non-experts see this. How about "Extended"? > - the rpmnew merger uses a Paned window (e.g. you can resize one > component over another) I think the UI for this needs some work (note, I haven't tried the gtk1 version yet). It doesn't explain exactly what has happened, and we got flamed a bit on [EMAIL PROTECTED] for trashing someone's smb.conf because they didn't know what to do. I haven't used it much, since 'urpmi.update updates;urpmi --auto-select - --auto --updates' normally works ok from cron.daily ... But, for the cause, I am running Mandrake Update now. Using as example, samba-server which I am updating to 2.2.7-2.1mdk on a 9.0 box. It click "inspect" and it shows my /etc/samba/smb.conf and /etc/samba/smb.conf.rpmsave, whereas shouldn't it be using /etc/samba/smb.conf.rpmnew (since this file is %config(noreplace)). I have a /etc/samba/smb.conf.rpmsave from a previous uninstall, which might be confusing it (bug?). It might be nice if above the text fields, it would say something like: "Your original file /etc/samba/smb.conf will be kept by default, unless you choose to use the file /etc/samba/smb.conf.rpmnew instead" in the case of noreplace, or "Your original file /etc/samba/smb.conf replace by the new file by default, unless you choose to keep the file by clicking ...." in the case of replace.
