My BIOS is American Megatrends (I have tried version 1.4 and 1.5 for the type of motherboard I have but this didn't help) most of the hardware is not unusual. If it is hardware I would suggest it was something on the motherboard... I see what you mean about the verbose boot, that would be interesting to see if it helps.
