<P>HP zt1125 laptop computer. Mandrake 9.0
<P>S3 Savage4 display card with 16M memory (taken from memory).
<P>ogle works fine on this system.
<P>xine opens an image with the beginning of a control console, and then totally
freezes the system (nothing works, including ping attempts to the system).
<P>Impossible to capture the error output to a file (I guess the file output
never gets a chance to be written to disk).

PS: I have also tried the http://www.probo.com/timr/savage40.html and it solves
the problem with xine.
