Actually, this is true now but there have been times when img and
bootmodules changed once a week creating mismatch errors when the boot
image was old.

hmm, don't know. What I did on a floppy- and cdrom-less box was to make
a very small partition at the end of one hd and dd network.img onto
that, then pointed lilo with an "other" entry to that partition.
