I have just tried the CD too. It fails also, so I have just wasted a
fine 700MB CD. Why Mandrake has the inability to produce 650MB ISO
images dispite the overwhelming demand for them on Mandrake Club I'll
never know.

I think the problem is due to compiling the kernel with gcc 3.2.1. Does
anyone know how to get a clean install working with a user-supplied
kernel?
