the wvlan_cs doen't work use the one in /wireless/ instead (orinoco_cs
in this case), look here :
/usr/src/linux-2.4.21pre4-3mdk/drivers/net/wireless/README

Special notes for distribution maintainers :
        1) wvlan_cs will be discontinued soon in favor of orinoco_cs

9.1 Beta 3

Not sure if this ought to be under wireless-opts, pcmcia-cs or kernel.

The wvlan_cs driver is bound to several Wireless cards in /etc/pcmcia/config but
is not present as a module in the 2.4.21pre4-1mdk kernel

Consequently many popular wireless cards cannot be configured without manually
editing /etc/pcmcia/config to use the alternative orinoco or wavelan drivers.
