actually what you are seeing, is this: (at least with the latest kernel...) hde = no response (status = 0xfe) hdg = no response (status = 0xfe) This is the Sil3112 SATA controller telling you that it can't find any harddisks connected to it... so you can safely ignore it... (unless you have SATA disks...) The devices connected to the nforce2 IDE controller shows up as: hda ( wich is primary master ) hdb ( wich is primary slave ) hdc ( wich is secondary master ) hdd ( wich is secondary slave ) -- Thomas ****************************** * If nothing else works, read the manual ... ... ... ******************************
