Ask yourself some questions
1)Would an extension have it's own installer (PLF is an extension, but it
uses the same installer as 9.0 on the ISO).
2)Where does the next version come from ? How can it come from an
extension?

Thus you will notice that cooker is it's own distribution, at certain
times it corresponds well with a stable Mandrake release.

If you want extensions for Mandrake, rebuild from cooker (if you know your
stuff), or join the MandrakeClub, and if the "extensions" you need are not
there, request them. It is also hopefully profitable ...

Many updated RPMs are available in the Club, and many RPMs are available
in the Club before they get to cooker (we are now getting RPMs into coker
contrib that have been available in Club for a few months already).

Of course, testing upgrades from 9.0 to cooker is a good way to test
upgrades from 9.0 to 9.1, and I am glad people are trying. I still have
some old 8.2 installations I might try with 9.1rc1 ...
