it was Partition Magic and the owner of the box claims that at the time
of creation of these partitions years ago this unusual setup was
necessary to have two parallel DOS/Windows installs with hda1 or hda2
each being recognized as C: drive. The bootloader then hid the other
partition, he says. I think it's time for him to redo the partitioning
anyway as he no longer has a working windows install. As far as I can
tell all his FAT partitions are unused.
