I noticed something similar, at least in the shell. For example, the hyphen ("-
") became a medium-sized, round dot. This occured when viewing man pages
(specifically, ones for urpmi*).
I noticed that UTF-8 support seems to be enabled by default now. Before RC1, I
had a choice between "French" and "French (UTF-8)" in the installer's language
selection. Related to this, perhaps?
In a related note, I get a "UTF-8 already enabled" or some such when logging in
on one of the 6 virtual terminals. Since this just started happening with RC1
as well, perhaps it's connected.
