Speaking of which, I'll have some preliminary information on my testing to 
post later tonight.  SInce it is a lot of info, should I post it in one long 
message or break it up.

I'll say one thing now, no matter what network configuration I have used, 
accepting the defaults of the installer and NOT running drakconnect allow 
GNOME to function properly.  As soon as I run drakconnect, under any 
configuration I've tested so far, GNOME cannot resolve the host.
