The problem still exists that after user runs drakconnect, GNOME cannot resolve localhost. Before and after entry in /etc/hosts is the same 127.0.0.1 localhost Whatever is preventing GNOME from resolving localhost after drakconnect is run lies elsewhere. Any ideas? I'm out of them. -- Greg
