------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-03-05 14:38 ------- Ok, let's see. The way I see it should work is the following: 1. You select Xinerama (or multiple heads) setup. (As opposed to only card) 2. The first card is detected and you setup the specifications including the monitor; 3. After clicking Ok/Next, the second card information is displayed allowing you, once again, to configure the monitor, resolution etc. 4. After clicking Ok/Next the configuration is written. Currently the setup only prommpts you for the first card, never allowing you to configure the second/different card. Does this make more sense? On our setups we can only configure one card - unless we select the only card option which allows to configure the second one. I'll attach an XFDrake/hand tweaked example of my config. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: UNCONFIRMED creation_date: description: This bug has existed since 9.0. Basically we have 6 machines here with two video cards, the one a SiS, the second on and Intel. It is difficult, if not impossible to configure both cards via the tool and get a working Xinerama installation. At this point you have to configure the first, save the config. Configure the second. Save the config. Combine the two and hopefully you have a working version. On Xinerama selection it (thye tool) should allow you to configure screen 1 and straight after it screen 2. As it stands currently it only configures the first screen and card which breaks our setup. (A large part of my woes this morning was due to this.)
