The same situation on fresh installation of 9.1 RC2.
After setting up ppp connection, when asking to check it, there is eth0 monitor
displayed.

When I try creating a profile for a modem connection and then go to test the
connection, the computer makes no attempt to dial and instead brings up the
network monitor for eth0.
Tried creating the connection using gnome-ppp, but can't get DrakConnect to
connect using ppp0.
