have both a modem and a LAN card yes. The problem is I use my laptop in 2
locations, work and home. In work I plug it into the LAN and get internet
access through the LAN, when I get home I use the modem to get internet access.
I want to be able to do this seamlessly like in Windows(lan will be used if
available, otherwise can manually dialup). The problem with Mandrake is if I go
home and dialup, all the packets try to go through the LAN route, until I
manually disable the LAN, in which case the packets will go in the correct
direction of the ISP.

description:
When I try creating a profile for a modem connection and then go to test the
connection, the computer makes no attempt to dial and instead brings up the
network monitor for eth0.
Tried creating the connection using gnome-ppp, but can't get DrakConnect to
connect using ppp0.
