After installation, I changed the driver back to nv and tried startx but no screens were found. Changing the lines Modes "default" to Modes "1280x1024" "800x600" fixed this problem.. no idea why.. All the rest gave varying amounts of corruption problems. I finally gave up and installed nvidia's own drivers. Sorry if this is vauge and is seemingly useless informatioin but I feel it's important to share this in order to illustrate what a user would experience if 9.1 is released with nothing done to avoid the geforce4 problems illustrated in rc1.
