           Product: kernel
         Component: booting
Summary: Kernel refuse to boot on a Packard Bell i-media
           Version: 2.4.21-0.11mdk
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: blocker
          Priority: P1
        AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
        ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

The current kernel in 9.1 RC2 refuse to boot. It stops after the line:
OK Now booting the kernel.......

I've had the same problem with 8.2 and 9.0 which I never could install.
However the problem was gone in 9.1 Beta3 which I succefully installed.

It sound like a kernel problems but I cannot apply any patches during boot
since the kernel doesn't even start. Not even a single line of output, just the
two lines:
Uncompressing the kernel...........
OK Now booting the kernel............

Then the system just stay in the this state for ever.

What sort of extra information would you need to fix this?
I've got a 9.1 Beta3 currently running on this machine and everything seems to
work fine kernel wise.
