I don't know if this is needed. This is on an updated cooker as of 3/6/2003. I have a repeatable pattern that happens when I get invisible windows. (as per my previous comment) 1.) go to tty1 run Drakconf and setup the Xserver to use 3.3.6 2.) Reboot 3.) The Xserver tries to start up but it keeps dying. It does this about 5-6 times then drops down to a console. 4.) Run Drakconf again and set the Xserver up to use 4.3. 5.)Reboot 6.) I now get a working Xserver. 7.) Reboot. 8.) I am now back to invisable windows. I can move the cursor on the screen but there isn't anything else dispayed. If you want me to send you some helpful files like logs or anything else which could help you to find the bugs, just send me an e-mail with the name of the files you need.
