This is fantastic.  I have been trying to set up a seperate box to convert a 
bunch of my old vinyl to CD and have pretty much given up on linux because I 
couldn't find a really good program for recording to hard disk or editing wav 
files (one that cleans up recordings from old vinyl records that is).  I was 
resigned to doing it with my copy of Windows98SE and wavrepair.  I'll have to 
give this a long look and try one more time.
