Hi, Idea is to merge couple of packages into one to ease updates and maintenance.
Here is the list of proposed packages sources to merge into distro-release: - desktop-common-data - distro-theme - distro-*-config I think we should do this to improve our releases and reduce amount of errors with new release. If you check recent commit logs of above packages you will get it. List of packages to merge is not closed, if you want to extend it then feel free to drop a line here. So how the process should look like? Before release(alpha, beta,RC,GA) you will have to update one package to apply changes for upcoming release. This eleminates errors of forgetting about updating package foo or bar. I'll prepare a dedicated branch for distro-release showing the idea.
