Katie-

You have a liquid level indicator.

As far as the coffee pot, the Primula Speak and Brew, I have one and the
voice recognition of course as with any item that uses voice recognition is quite good. You press the top right of the four buttons on the unit and it
asks if you want to set the time or the brew time. The unit uses a female
voice to respond back to your commands.

More soon

I have a safe little device that I don't know the real name for it, but, it has two little prongs on one side of it, with a nine volt battery attached on the other side. You hang the wire prongs over the cup, glass, pitcher
or what ever, and when liquid, hot or cold , is poured into it, and, it
reaches the tip of the prongs on the inside of the item your filling a high pitch will beep to let you know it is full enough and not to add any more.
They have been around for years, as mine is a old one but still works
great, if I use it, which isn't real often any more. This keeps from
over filling, and under filling also. HTH Katie

It's not that bad. The kettle I have has an elongated spout that I line up with the pour spout on the glass press. Start pouring and I just judge the
fullness by the sound. As it gets fuller the sound changes. I have gotten
to
the point where I pretty much judge the amount of water to boil exactly,
so
I usually never over fill. On occasion I do under fill though. But that
just
gives me an excuse to make another pot. <Grin>

I wouldn't want to fuss with trying to pour boiling water into a coffee
maker.

Keith the french press how does that work? I put four heaping scoops of
coffee in my coffee maker but I was wondering if you make it the same
way or
what? How much quicker it would be just to put coffee grounds in a pot
and
then boiling water and press and done. A talking coffee maker would be
rather nice as I can preset the timer to go off as I'm taking my dog out
and
come back to a nice hot pot of coffee. mmmm good for these cold winters.

I had to think about this one for a few minutes as well. <grin>.

I can only assume that it is an automatic coffee maker that you can set
the start time and other functions using voice feedback.

I prefer my French press to an ADC style coffee maker. But I suppose
that this could be useful.
