Howdy Everyone,
we recorded a couple of cooking shows and I was left with a turkey
breast that we had made on the show.
We ate it for dinner the first night and then the leftovers...
I picked and pulled most of the meat that I could feel off the
bones. Put the meat into a zip lock for storage and the carcass too.
I boiled up the bones in a colander in a pot about half full of
water, about 12 cups...
It boiled covered on medium high for about two hours...then I pulled
the colander and the carcass out and put it in the sink...then in
went all the goodies for turkey and dumplings!
With Thanksgiving coming, remember to recycle those leftovers into
something delicious!
How about Turkey Salad...a shepherd Pie with turkey, dressing, and
mashed potatoes.
The best one I had sweet potatoes along with the turkey and a apple
pecan stuffing...it was delicious.
Okay, if you have a great way to use those leftovers, let me hear about it!
Post it to the list...
Use the subject line: Leftovers: (recipe title)
I will be picking a few to use on an upcoming show.
