I don't think I would place that plastic from the bacon package in the
dishwasher. I would think that the water in the dishwasher, and the heat of
the dry cycle would melt that piece of plastic to a lovely mess!

I think the suggestion to hand wash with warm sudsy water is probably the
right choice here.

I just always have washed them with warm, soapy water and rinsed them well
under cold water.

But they'd be a pain to wash and get clean enough, unless you put them
in a dishwasher or something.

Some brands of bacon come on plastic sheets, too. They could be cut and

used for brailling labels.

One idea someone put up here about a year ago is to save those little
plastic cards from the mozzarella packages and Braille on them.

To expand on that idea, how about cutting up pieces of plastic bottles,
soda bottles or milk bottles, or even the waxed orange juice cartons and
brailling on them.

Then one could rubber band them to an item. Once it is frozen, open up
the package and stick the Brailled card inside the package so they don't
get separated later on by a broken rubber band.
