Hi Abby,

The leftover cranberry sauce as a sauce for vanilla ice cream would be delicious, either warm or cold!

Or,

How about sorbet, made from the leftover cranberry sauce? Here's a recipe you can use as a starting point! I think I would probably use orange juice or apple cider instead of the cranberry juice, and honey or agave syrup instead of the corn syrup, and maybe orange peel instead of the lime peel, but it's intriguing, and so is the blender-drink variation!

Penny
Very Merry Sorbet
2 cups leftover cranberry sauce
2 cups cranberry juice
2 Tablespoons lime juice
zest of one lime
1/2 cup light corn syrup
Mix all ingredients together and cool at least 2 hours. Pour into ice cream maker
and follow manufacturers directions.
This sorbet would make a fun adult drinky poo if you throw it in the blender with
some vodka and maybe a bit of Sprite. A good New Years slurpee!

I'm listening to Melinda Lee's Food News. A listener called and said she
puts cranberry sauce over soft vanilla ice cream. Yum! I'm going to try it
warmed over French toast made from leftover Thanksgiving Kings Hawaiian
bread dinner rolls..
