Apple-a-Day Casserole Description They say an apple a day keeps the doctor away. This casserole might just do the opposite - the doctor will want to come over and eat the whole thing, it tastes so good!
Serves: 8 Cooking Time: 1 hr Ingredients * 6 medium tart apples, peeled and sliced * 6 medium carrots, thinly sliced * 1/2 cup orange juice * 1/3 cup all purpose flour * 1/3 cup sugar * 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg * 2 tablespoon cold butter or margarine Instructions 1. Preheat oven to 350F degrees. 2. Combine apples and carrots; place in a greased, shallow 2-quart baking dish 3. Drizzle with orange juice. 4. Cover and bake at 350F degrees for 40-45 minutes or until carrots are crisp-tender. 5. In a bowl, combine the flour, sugar and nutmeg; cut in butter until crumbly. 6. Sprinkle over apple mixture. 7.
