There isn't a Trader Joes in Oklahoma. I sure wish there was, from what all
I hear good about their stuff. Charles moved from Az. and misses not having
them out here. Can you order from them and they ship things out of State?

Nuts, salted or unsalted, pita bread chips, bread sticks, pretzels,
crackers
any kind of raw fruit. If you want something more like an hors d'ouvre,
Trader Joe's has loads of frozen ones on sale. Choose among, scallops
wrapped in bacon, crab cakes, tempura vegetables, tiny hot dogs in pastry.
You just put them in a hot oven for around ten minutes. If you're
starting
from scratch, shrimp are a good size for snacking. They take only around
six minutes to simmer, sauté or broil. You can flavor them with anything
from garlic and butter to Indian simmer sauce. You can dip them in the
traditional cocktail sauce or several other things. The tails serve as
their own handles.
Cheese offers almost limitless possibilities, on or off crackers or bread.
Be creative,
Abby
