Well, in a broiler the heat comes from the top, so if you don't have a broil
setting, the het will just come from the bottom, and not produce the same
results.

I didn't live here when this oven was bought. Everybody I talk to says
this oven does not have a broiler setting.
Can I accomplish this by turning the oven all the way up and putting a
cookie sheet or another pan on the top rack?
