Kellogg's Savoury Lasagne

Well now, Kellogg's is going to let you in on a tempting secret. Not 
only are all Kellogg's cereals high in nutrition and low in fat they 
also taste fantastic with a wide variety of healthy sweet and savoury 
recipes.

397g/14oz Tin tomatoes
300g/10oz Tin condensed tomato soup made up with water (300ml,1/2 pint)
1 1/2 level 5ml spoons/1 1/2 level teaspoons salt
Pinch pepper
2 x 15ml sp/2 tblsp Cooking oil
1 Large onion, chopped
450g/1lb Minced beef
100g/4oz KELLOGG'S COUNTRY STORE
8 Sheets medium or wide pre-cooked lasagne
1 Egg
350g/12oz Cottage cheese
50g/2oz Parmesan cheese

In a saucepan, combine the tomatoes, tomato soup, 1/2 teaspoon salt 
and pinch of pepper. Bring to the boil, stirring occasionally.

Heat the oil in a frying pan, add the onion and cook gently until 
soft and golden brown. Stir in minced beef and remaining salt.

Fry for 5-6 minutes or until browned. Add the KELLOGG'S COUNTRY 
STORE, mix well and add to sauce mixture.

Simmer gently until meat is cooked and sauce thickened. Mix cottage 
cheese and egg together. Pour a layer of sauce into a greased 
ovenproof dish.

Cover with a layer of lasagne, (overlapping sheets), followed by half 
the cottage cheese and egg mixture and half the parmesan cheese. 
Repeat the layers finishing with parmesan cheese.

Bake the lasagne in the centre of a moderate oven 180°C (350°F) Gas 
Mark 4, for 30-40 minutes or until bubbling hot and browned.

Cool slightly before serving.
