Susie's Ham Salad
rec.food.recipes/M S (2000)

Here is one I came up with that we just love. I usually bake a ham first. One
like "Cook's" brand that really just needs to be heated thoroughly works just
fine. I throw the leftovers in the food processor. It usually ends up being
about 4-6 cups of un"smooshed" chopped ham. After you add the mayo, it reduces
the amount cause it condenses it. I've never used a canned ham or deli ham but
Iguess they would work. - Susie

4-6 cups ham chopped in food processor
1 carrot, peeled, finely processed
2 celery, finely processed
green onion, finely processed
2 tsp celery seed, or to taste (I use Penzeys)
salt
pepper
mayonnaise, not miracle whip!

Mix ham, carrot, celery, onion, together. Add enough mayonnaise to coat. Stir
in salt, pepper, celery seed to taste.

Refrigerate to let flavors mellow for a while.

Note: This is really good. The carrots are what makes it, so don't leave them
out.
