This recipe is from one of my best friends, who passed away from cancer in 1994.

Linda Dickey's Pail of Muffins recipe
Combine and mix the next five ingredients:
2 cups All-Bran Cereal
4 cups Bran flakes
1tsp salt
2 cups boiling water
one quart buttermilk.
Cream together and then add to the above ingredients:
1 cup butter or margarine, (2 sticks)
3 cups sugar,
4 eggs.
Sift together and add to the Bran and margarine mixture:
5 cups flour,
5tsps baking soda
2 or 3 cups raisins, chopped nuts, dates, anything you want. These are all optional.
Bake for 25 minutes at 350 degrees in cupcake lined muffin pans.
You may refrigerate the batter for up to six weeks and make fresh muffins whenever
you like.
The baked muffins freeze very well.
I love these muffins and I hope you will as well.
