I forgot to tell y'all to add 1/tsp of lemon juice to keep the apples from turning brown. Gala apples are suggested for this recipe, the red delicious might be too sweet and pulpy.

Subject: [CnD] Cinnamon Apples for the CP

This is a recipe my sister made for Easter and was it ever delicious. The apples were very tender and so flavorable with the cinnamon, and it's easy to make..

All you do is peel and core as many apples as you like. Slice them and put
them in the crockpot. Add a tablespoon of sugar per apple and a cup of water
for every four apples. Put two cinnamon sticks for every four or five
apples. If you want them to cook faster, turn the crockpot on high, if
slower then on low. You can check them to see if they are tender and adjust
the heat. I think we had them on high for about four hours.
