I was looking up ways to use boughten pizza dough.
I laughed when I saw this recipe.
I like broccoli on pizza. It does stink up the kitchen when it is
baking in the pizza. In fact, the smell lingers in the air for a very
long time.
I once talked a commercial pizza parlor into making me one. They asked
me never to order broccoli pizza again.
Has anyone used whipped cream cheese?
Hand Held Veggie Snacks
For this recipe you will need:
one package store bought pizza dough
1/2 cup broccoli florets
1/2 cup bell pepper, diced
1/4 cup mushrooms, sliced
1 cup whipped cream cheese
1 tablespoon olive oil
non-stick cooking spray
flour for dusting
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Spray a baking tray with non-stick
cooking spray. In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium high heat and
cook broccoli, pepper and mushrooms for about 5 minutes or until
tender. Put cooked vegetables in bowl, and add cream cheese and mix to
combine. Roll out the pizza dough on floured surface. Cut into 6
squares. Spoon some of the vegetable mixture into the middle of each
square. Fold dough over filling, and pinch sides to seal. Place onto
baking tray and bake in oven for 15 minutes, or until crust is brown.
These are best served warm or at room temperature.
