Basil leaves can be frozen to use in cooking, not salads.
Everything you have gathered will go great in salads and sauces right now.
The best way to store herbs for long-term use is to cut some stems with
leaves and hang them to dry. Use clothespins if you like and hang them
inside. Remove the dried leaves and keep them in zip-lock bags. Be sure to
label them.

Subject: [CnD] harvesting and storing herbs
Hi Cooks,
My daughter planted a container herb garden on our backyard fence. We've
been watering and they are doing pretty well. Today, she harvested some
basil, oregano, rosemary, chives, and mint. I put them in ziplock bags,
but I really don't know how to harvest and store them for later use.
Storing ideas and recipes will be greatly appreciated.
Barb
