Hi, all,

I'm not a fan of shortening and want to avoid it at all costs. So often, there 
are so many recipes that I'd love to try, but pass them up because it calls for 
this ingredient.

So, I'm wondering if other ingredients can be used in it's place; something 
healthier. Also, if there are substitutions, should certain ones be used in 
specific recipes?
