APPLE BREAD

 

Makes 2 (8 1/2- by 4 1/2-inch) loaves.

 

4 cups flour

2 teaspoons baking soda

2 teaspoons cinnamon

1 teaspoon salt

2 cups sugar

4 eggs, beaten

1 cup cooking oil

1/4 cup sour cream

2 teaspoons vanilla

2 cups chopped apples

1 cup chopped nuts (any kind)

 

Method

 

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 

2. Grease and flour 2 loaf pans.

3. In bowl, sift flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. 

4. Set aside. 

5. In large bowl, combine sugar with eggs, oil, sour cream and vanilla.

6. Beat well. 

7. Blend in flour mixture. 

8. Fold in apples and nuts. 

9. Spoon batter into prepared loaf pans.

10. Bake 1 hour or until done.
