Claudia, I found a great cake taker at Wal-Mart. It is rectangular with a
lid that has big snaps on the side and a handle on the top. What is really
nice about it it also has a extra insert for carrying cupcakes. One side has
ridges to hold a dozen cupcakes or you can flip it over and it can hold 24
mini cupcakes. It cost $20 Canadian which was about what I paid for my old
Tupperware cake takers, which I don't think are as nice as the one I got
from wal-Mart.
Also, if I am taking a cake to a gathering where I don't know the people
very well and it is a pot luck I will make my cake in a good foil pan, so I
can leave it there and not have to worry about getting it back.

Subject: [CnD] Transferring Baked Goods!
Hi All,
For those of you who bake cakes, how do you transfer them onto something
else, after having taken them out of the oven?
Particularly, if you're going to take them somewhere, do you just take
them in the pan or what do you do? If keeping at home, do you just keep
them in a pan?
I'm thinking if you had to take the cake out of the cake pan because you
needed to take it somewhere, it might fall apart?
Ideas and suggestions would be appreciated.
I also would like to know where you buy cake carriers, for those occasions
when you do need to transport the baked goods?
