I brown mine a little first, but you don't have to do that. You can just do

i am having a family christmas party on the 19th of december and am
thinking about fixing those little smokies in barbecue sauce in the
crockpot. my question is do you have to brown them or anything before you
put them in the crockpot or can you just open the package and put them in
and then pour the sauce over them. any suggestions would be great.
