I use magnetic tape to brail labels on cans and reuse them, ie; olives,
salsa, clam chowder, etc.
I use Penfriend to label packaged food that has cooking directions and need
eyes to read me the directions.
I find brail the most convenient for freezer packages because the penfriend
labels come off sometimes and are just a little more time-consuming to do.
I will put a penfriend label inside a plastic bag and tape it to the
package, but sometimes I just don't have time to deal with that.
I do love the magnetic brail tape and my Penfriend.

The important thing is that you have to label things as soon as you get
them. I use dymo-tape, which I don't reuse, because I don't always buy
the same things again. I think, even with the pen friend, you have to
have help knowing what things are.

Subject: [CnD] Labeling cans and freezer items
Hi. I'm sure this has been brought up before. But I'm wondering
how you all find best to label items for the freezer and for other food
cans or boxes. I'm thinking about buying a scanner or Pen Friend. I've
used my own system of Braille labels, but it doesn't always get done.
Then, of course I have to take a good guess or get some eyes on it.
