I use a Rival slow cooker or crockpot.  In fact I have a four quart one and 
a two quart one.  The brand is Rival.  The only control is a knob that is 
off to the very left; then, turning to the right, low, and high.  They work 
well for me and I am totally blind.  So they would probably work for you, 
too.
